The factors

What goes into your quote

Six things shape the number you hear on the call. We ask about each so the quote reflects the job you actually have, not an average.

Service type

A standard tow, a flatbed tow, a winch-out or recovery, a jump start, a lockout, a tire change, and a fuel delivery each involve different equipment and time on site, so each is priced on its own terms.

Vehicle class

A car, SUV, or pickup is handled by a standard light-duty truck. Motorcycles need different securing and usually ride on a flatbed. Heavy-duty vehicles such as box trucks, RVs, or commercial rigs need specialized equipment that fewer operators carry, and the quote reflects that.

Distance

For tows, the most common structure is a hook-up charge that covers arriving and loading your vehicle, plus a per-mile charge for the distance to your destination. We confirm both the pickup point and the destination on the call so the mileage in your quote matches the real trip.

Location

Rates differ between a city center, a suburb, and a rural road, and a recovery from a highway shoulder can involve extra safety measures. The operator's travel time to reach you is also part of the picture.

Time of day

Many operators charge differently overnight, on weekends, and on holidays. When that applies to your request, it is built into the quote you hear on the call rather than added afterward.

Extra recovery work and wait time

If your vehicle is off the road, stuck, or in a tight spot that is hard to reach, winching or additional labor may be needed. Wait time on site beyond what was arranged can also affect the price. If wait time can be charged on your job, we tell you how it is measured and when it would start as part of the quote on the call, so it is never something you first learn about at payment.

Before you call

How to get an accurate quote fast

The quote is only as good as the description behind it. Having these details ready lets us build it in one pass and lowers the chance of a change once the operator arrives.

Not sure about something? Say so. We would rather ask a follow-up question than quote the wrong job.

Have these ready

  • Your exact location. A street address, a highway number with direction and nearest exit or mile marker, or a pin from your phone's map app.
  • Vehicle year, make, and model. This sets the vehicle class and the kind of truck needed.
  • Drivetrain. Front-, rear-, four-, or all-wheel drive affects whether a flatbed is needed and how the vehicle is loaded.
  • What happened. Breakdown, accident, flat tire, dead battery, locked out, out of fuel, or stuck off the road, and whether the vehicle still rolls and steers.
  • Where it needs to go. A repair shop, a dealership, your home, or somewhere else, with an address if you have one. This sets the mileage.
Pricing questions

Questions drivers ask about the price

Why is there no price list on this site?

Because the same job costs different amounts in different places. We do not own the trucks; the independent operators we work with charge different rates for their equipment and their market, and the job itself varies even more. Rather than publish a figure that would be wrong for most callers, we quote each request individually before dispatch.

Is the quote I hear on the phone the final price?

It is the total for the job as you described it, including any tax that applies, whoever collects it. If the operator arrives and finds the situation materially different, the price may change, but operators who take jobs from us agree to explain what changed and why before doing any additional work, and you can decline that work.

Does the quote include Fast Towing USA's fee?

Yes. Our coordination fee is part of the quoted amount. We do not add a separate dispatch, referral, or booking charge afterward, and the quote is the total you will be asked to pay for the job as described.

Do I have to accept the quote?

No. If the quote does not work for you, you can decline on the call, no operator will be sent, and you owe nothing.

Is there a fee if I cancel after an operator is on the way?

There may be. Once an operator is en route, cancelling may result in a cancellation fee. If a fee could apply to your booking, we tell you before you accept the quote: whether it applies, when it starts, how it is calculated, and how it would be collected.

Who do I pay?

Depending on the job, payment may be collected by Fast Towing USA or directly by the independent operator who performs the service. We confirm which it is, and the accepted payment methods, when you accept the quote. If Fast Towing USA collects payment and the service is not performed for a reason that is not within your control, you are refunded in full.

Does the price change at night, on weekends, or on holidays?

It can. Many operators use different rates for after-hours and holiday calls. When that applies to you, it is already included in the quote you hear on the call, not added later.

What if the amount I am asked to pay is different from the quote?

Call 833-995-7717 before you pay. We review the call recording and the operator's report. If the reason for a higher amount was already covered by your quote, you will not pay more than the quote for it: where we collected payment we refund the difference, and where the operator collected it we pursue the difference with the operator on your behalf.
